Købmagergade Street Design
As part of a prequalified team, M&G has developed a proposal for a new street design for the pedestrian street of Købmagergade and the squares Kultorvet and Hauserplads in central Copenhagen.
The competition entry suggests a light uniform surface, which spans from facade to facade, which would become a dominant feature in all its simplicity, while the experience of the colourful and lively urban scenery would be sharpened and thus enhanced. In order to achieve this, a new triangular pavement stone in light coloured wet-cast concrete was developed in collaboration with concrete experts.
The proposal was developed in collaboration with EFFEKT, 1508 and Hotel ProForma.
